Frequently Asked Question
Movie Serials
Last Updated 2 years ago
Movie serials — also known as serial films or chapter plays — are series of short films or episodes that were historically screened in a movie theater on a weekly basis. These were very popular in the first half of the 1900s, before the dawn of television.
Since these stories were typically narratives told over multiple "episodes," we consider movie serials to be series, and thus should be added as such. You should not add each episode of a movie serial as its own individual movie.
